Mystery Corner is owned + operated solely by myself, Angel Lazear. I am a 24yr old illustrator, painter, and linocut printmaker born and raised here in Las Vegas,NV. I'm inspired heavily by abandoned old buildings, yellowed-books, and black and white media. I've had a lifelong fascination with the past and all things strange. I'm a person whose never been able to contain my curiosity and I chose to wield that trait to my benefit by channeling it into creative endeavors. As I grow, I start to make a better practice of using all parts of myself for good and hope to inspire you to do the same.
I've been writing and doodling in notebooks my whole life. The past 2-3 years have been dedicated entirely to honing my skills as an artist- to improving my style and sourcing more interesting references. I taught myself linocut printmaking and have done that off and on for about 6months or so. My skills are all self-taught, but I have certainly had lots of support in doing the arduous task of inventing my own life. Enjoy making peace with all parts of yourself with me- there's nothing to be afraid of!
